Chair, boat, twist
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001862
Specific conformational isomers of cyclohexane and other six-membered rings, arising from the flexibility of the ring structure. The chair conformation is the most stable, minimizing torsional strain and angle strain. The boat and twist-boat conformations are higher in energy due to increased steric interactions and eclipsing interactions.
