Peak energy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008567
The energy value corresponding to the maximum intensity of a spectral peak, often observed in techniques like X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy or Auger electron spectroscopy. This energy is characteristic of a specific element or chemical state. It provides qualitative information about the elemental composition and chemical environment of a sample surface.
