Polarography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009084
An electrochemical technique that measures the current flowing through an electrochemical cell as a function of applied potential, typically using a dropping mercury electrode as the working electrode. It is used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of electroactive species in solution. The resulting current-voltage curve, known as a polarogram, provides characteristic half-wave potentials and limiting currents.
