Rate of flow of liquid metal in polarography

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009939

The mass of mercury flowing per unit time from the capillary of a dropping mercury electrode. This parameter, along with the drop time, determines the characteristics of the electrode, such as its surface area and renewal rate. The flow rate is a key experimental variable in polarographic analysis and is typically measured in units of milligrams per second (mg/s).
