Average rate of flow
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001026
The mean mercury flow rate of a dropping mercury electrode, found by dividing the mass of one drop at the moment it falls from the capillary tip by the drop time. It is the average of the instantaneous flow rate over the whole life of the drop, is expressed in milligrams per second, and enters the Ilkovic equation for the diffusion-limited current.
