Limiting condition of operation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006597

A specific set of environmental or operational parameters that, if exceeded, will cause a system or process to fail or operate outside its intended design specifications. These conditions define the boundaries within which a device or chemical reaction can reliably function. For instance, a sensor may have a limiting condition of operation for temperature or humidity.
