Levich equation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006543
An equation that describes the limiting current at a rotating disc electrode under steady-state conditions, relating it to the electrode rotation rate, the concentration of the electroactive species, and its diffusion coefficient. It is a fundamental equation in electroanalytical chemistry for studying mass transport phenomena. The limiting current is directly proportional to the square root of the rotation rate.
