Electrode surface area
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003675
The total area of the electrode material that is accessible for electrochemical reactions or interactions with the surrounding medium. This can be the geometric area or, for porous materials, a much larger electrochemically active surface area. It significantly influences the current response in electrochemical measurements.
