Electrodecantation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003676
A separation technique that uses an electric field to enhance the sedimentation or creaming of colloidal particles in a suspension. The electric field causes charged particles to migrate towards an electrode, leading to their accumulation and subsequent separation from the bulk liquid. This method is often employed for concentrating or purifying colloidal dispersions.
