Rate of migration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009942
The speed at which a charged particle or molecule moves through a medium under the influence of an electric field. This velocity is directly proportional to the electric field strength and the electrophoretic mobility of the species. In electrophoresis, it is a key parameter determining the separation of biomolecules, often measured in millimeters per hour.
