Total velocity of the analyte
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012152
The net speed and direction at which an analyte moves through a separation medium, such as a capillary in electrophoresis. This velocity is a vector sum of the electrophoretic velocity and the electroosmotic velocity. It determines the migration time of the analyte to the detector.
