Mass-average velocity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007006

The weighted average velocity of all components in a mixture, where each component's velocity is weighted by its mass fraction. It represents the overall bulk flow velocity of the mixture. This velocity is used in the conservation equations for mass and momentum in multicomponent systems.
