(Z + 1)-average molar mass
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012788
A type of molar mass average for a polymer sample, weighted by the square of the molar mass and the z-average molar mass. It provides a measure of the higher moments of the molar mass distribution, emphasizing the contribution of very large molecules. This average is particularly sensitive to the presence of high molar mass components in a polymer sample.
