Relative molar mass
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010150
The ratio of the molar mass of a substance to the molar mass of a reference substance, typically 1/12 of the molar mass of carbon-12. This dimensionless quantity is numerically equivalent to the molecular weight or formula weight of a compound. It is calculated by summing the relative atomic masses of all atoms in the chemical formula.
