Relative micellar mass

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010149

The ratio of the average mass of a micelle to 1/12 of the mass of an atom of carbon-12. This dimensionless quantity represents the average molecular weight of the aggregate formed by surfactant molecules in solution. It is determined experimentally using techniques such as light scattering or ultracentrifugation.
