Micellar chromatography

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007287

A chromatographic separation technique that employs micelles as pseudostationary phases in the mobile phase. Surfactant molecules aggregate to form micelles above their critical micelle concentration, which then interact with analytes based on their hydrophobicity and charge. This method is a variant of reversed-phase chromatography, often using aqueous mobile phases with a surfactant.
