Micellar aggregation number

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007284

The average number of surfactant or block copolymer molecules that associate to form a single micelle in a solution. This number is a characteristic property of a given surfactant or polymer system under specific conditions of concentration, temperature, and solvent. It can be determined by techniques such as light scattering or fluorescence spectroscopy.
