Time-weighted-average-exposure

The average concentration of a chemical or physical agent in the air over a specified period, typically an eight-hour workday or a 40-hour workweek. This metric is used in occupational health to assess chronic exposure and compare it against regulatory limits, such as Permissible Exposure Limits (PELs) or Threshold Limit Values (TLVs).
