Threshold limit value-time-weighted average

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012030

The average concentration of an airborne substance over an eight-hour workday and a 40-hour workweek, to which nearly all workers can be repeatedly exposed without adverse health effects. This is the most common type of threshold limit value (TLV) and is calculated by averaging the concentrations of a substance over the specified period. It accounts for fluctuations in exposure levels throughout the day.
