Nominal linear flow
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007990
The average velocity of the mobile phase through an unpacked column or an empty tube, calculated by dividing the volumetric flow rate by the cross-sectional area of the column. This parameter provides a theoretical measure of the mobile phase speed. It is distinct from the actual interstitial velocity within a packed column.
