Flow resistance parameter

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004502

A dimensionless quantity used in chromatography to characterize the resistance to flow of the mobile phase through a packed column. It is related to the permeability of the column and the particle size of the stationary phase. A higher flow resistance parameter indicates greater pressure drop across the column.
