Flow reactor

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004501

A chemical reactor in which reactants are continuously fed into one end and products are continuously removed from the other end, allowing for steady-state operation. The composition of the reaction mixture varies along the length of the reactor but remains constant at any given point over time. This design is suitable for industrial processes requiring high throughput and continuous production, such as in the synthesis of polymers or bulk chemicals.
