Stirred flow reactor

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011423

A type of chemical reactor where reactants are continuously fed into a vessel and products are continuously withdrawn, with the contents thoroughly mixed to maintain uniform composition and temperature throughout. This ideal mixing results in a spatially invariant concentration profile within the reactor. These reactors are often used in kinetic studies to determine reaction rates under steady-state conditions.
