Batch reactor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001142
A type of chemical reactor where reactants are loaded into the vessel, allowed to react for a specific period, and then the products are removed. The composition within the reactor changes over time, but there is no continuous inflow or outflow during the reaction. This contrasts with continuous reactors, where reactants are continuously fed and products continuously withdrawn.
