Batch extraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001140

A liquid-liquid extraction technique where a sample solution is mixed with an immiscible solvent in a single vessel, allowed to equilibrate, and then the two phases are separated. This process is typically performed once or a few times to transfer a solute from one phase to another. It is a simple and common method for sample preparation in analytical chemistry.
