Solvent extraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011023

A method for separating components of a mixture based on their differential solubilities between two immiscible liquid phases. A solute transfers from one liquid phase to another, typically an aqueous phase to an organic phase. This technique is widely used in chemical analysis and industrial processes.
