Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001138

A defined quantity of a material, such as a product or a sample, that is presumed to be uniform in composition and has been produced under the same set of conditions. In quality control and analysis, samples are drawn from a batch to determine if the material meets specified criteria. The entire batch may be accepted or rejected based on the properties measured in these representative samples.
