Consignment

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002460

Material delivered in a single shipment under one set of shipping papers, which may contain one or more lots or only parts of lots. Because the lots in a shipment can differ in composition, the sampling plan has to allow for them. In sampling terminology it is one of the parent populations that samples are drawn from, alongside the lot and the batch.
