Conservative assessment of risk
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002459
An evaluation of potential harm that deliberately overestimates the risk to human health or the environment. This approach uses cautious assumptions and worst-case scenarios to provide a margin of safety. It aims to prevent underestimation of adverse effects, even if it means predicting a higher probability of harm than might actually occur.
