Sampling plan

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013522

A procedure fixed in advance for choosing, taking, preserving, transporting and preparing the portions that are removed from a population to serve as samples. It states how many increments to take, where they come from and how large each should be, as well as how they are combined into the laboratory sample that is finally analyzed. Its design rests on statistics, so that conclusions about the bulk can be stated with a known confidence level.
