Multistage sampling

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007684

A sampling procedure where the sampling process is carried out in successive stages, with larger units sampled first, and then smaller units within the selected larger units. For example, one might first select specific batches, then individual containers within those batches, and finally take aliquots from the containers. This method is often used for large populations or geographically dispersed samples.
