Stochastic sampling

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011426

A method of selecting a subset of individuals or items from a larger population where each member has a known, non-zero probability of being chosen. This approach aims to produce a representative sample that allows for statistical inference about the entire population. Simple random sampling is a common form of stochastic sampling.
