Random sample

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009922

A portion of material taken from a larger quantity in such a way that every part of the original material has an equal probability of being selected. This method aims to provide a representative subset for analysis, minimizing bias in the selection process. The statistical properties of the sample can then be used to infer characteristics of the entire population.
