Biased sample

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001208

A subset of a population selected in a way that some members of the population are more likely to be included than others. This non-random selection can lead to results that are not representative of the entire population, introducing systematic error into a study. Such samples can compromise the validity and generalizability of research findings in toxicology and other fields.
