Biased linear pulse amplifier
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001207
An electronic circuit designed to amplify electrical pulses while maintaining their linear proportionality to the input signal, and which incorporates a DC offset or bias. This bias allows for the amplification of only those pulses exceeding a certain threshold, effectively filtering out low-amplitude noise. It is used in nuclear analytical chemistry for signal processing from radiation detectors.
