Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003289

An electronic circuit that produces an output signal only when the input signal exceeds a predetermined threshold voltage. It is used to filter out noise or unwanted low-amplitude signals from a detector's output. This device is commonly employed in nuclear counting systems to select pulses corresponding to specific energy ranges.
