Ratemeter

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009949

An electronic instrument that measures and displays the average rate of discrete events, such as pulses from a radiation detector. It converts individual pulses into an analog signal proportional to the frequency of events. This device is commonly used in nuclear analytical chemistry to monitor radioactivity levels or count rates from detectors like Geiger-Müller counters.
