Radiation detector
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009824
A device that indicates the presence of ionizing radiation and often measures its intensity or energy. It operates by converting the energy of incident radiation into a measurable signal, such as an electrical pulse or a light flash. Examples include scintillation detectors, semiconductor detectors, and gas-filled detectors.
