Power

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009334

The rate at which work is performed or energy is transferred or converted per unit of time. In chemical systems, it can describe the energy output of a reaction, the rate of heat flow, or the intensity of electromagnetic radiation. The SI unit for power is the watt (W), which is defined as one joule per second.
