Power compensation differential scanning calorimetry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009335

A type of differential scanning calorimetry where the sample and reference are maintained at the same temperature by independently supplying power to separate heaters. The difference in power required to maintain this temperature equality is measured as a function of temperature or time. This method directly measures the heat flow into or out of the sample.
