Heat-flow differential scanning calorimetry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005149
A thermal analysis technique that measures the difference in heat flow to a sample and a reference as they are subjected to a controlled temperature program. This method detects thermal transitions such as melting, crystallization, and glass transitions by observing endothermic or exothermic heat flows. The resulting thermogram provides information on transition temperatures and enthalpies.
