Differential scanning calorimeter
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003172
An instrument that measures the heat flow difference between a sample and a reference material as both are subjected to a controlled temperature program. This device is used to detect thermal transitions such as melting, crystallization, and glass transitions in materials. The output is typically a thermogram showing heat flow versus temperature or time.
