Differential technique

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003176

A method in thermal analysis where the difference in a property between a sample and a reference material is measured as a function of temperature or time. Both the sample and the reference are subjected to the same controlled temperature program. This approach minimizes the effects of instrumental drift and environmental fluctuations, leading to more precise measurements of thermal events such as transitions or reactions.
