Thermoacoustimetry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011957
A thermal analysis technique that measures the acoustic properties of a substance as a function of temperature. The sample is subjected to a controlled temperature program, and changes in sound velocity or attenuation are recorded. This method can provide information about phase transitions, chemical reactions, and structural changes within materials.
