Scanning calorimetry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010547

A thermal analysis technique that measures the heat flow into or out of a sample as its temperature is systematically varied. This method is used to detect and quantify thermal events such as phase transitions, melting, crystallization, and glass transitions. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is a common variant.
