Modulated-temperature DSC
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007459
A thermal analysis technique that superimposes a small, oscillating temperature perturbation on the conventional linear heating or cooling ramp in differential scanning calorimetry. This allows for the separation of complex thermal events into reversing and non-reversing components, such as glass transitions and kinetic processes. The technique provides more detailed information than conventional DSC, particularly for overlapping transitions.
