Modulated heat flow

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007456

The heat flow signal obtained in modulated-temperature differential scanning calorimetry (MT-DSC), which is separated into a reversing and a non-reversing component. This separation allows for the distinction between heat capacity-related events, such as glass transitions, and kinetic events, such as crystallization or relaxation. The modulated heat flow provides more detailed thermodynamic and kinetic information than conventional DSC.
