Modulated temperature technique
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007458
A thermal analysis method where the sample temperature is subjected to a sinusoidal or other periodic modulation in addition to a linear heating or cooling ramp. This technique allows for the separation of reversible and irreversible thermal events. Modulated differential scanning calorimetry (MDSC) is a common application of this technique.
