Calorimetry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001586
The scientific measurement of heat changes associated with chemical reactions, physical changes, or biological processes. This technique quantifies the amount of heat absorbed or released by a system, providing data on enthalpy changes. Calorimeters are instruments specifically designed for these measurements, ranging from simple coffee-cup calorimeters to sophisticated differential scanning calorimeters.
