Radiant intensity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009814
The radiant power emitted by a point source per unit solid angle in a specific direction. It describes the directional distribution of radiation from a source, unlike radiant power which is the total power emitted in all directions. Radiant intensity is symbolized by I or Iₑ and is measured in SI units of watts per steradian (W sr⁻¹).
